Conceptual Physics: FirstClass

This full year course is designed for the highly motivated, creative and exceptionally skilled student in science. The following criteria should be met: minimum of 7th stanine on the Stanford Achievement Test; should have achieved at least a consistent grade of 90% or better in previous science courses; placement on the honor roll on a regular basis; have the ability to utilize abstract thinking and be proficient at problem solving and a solid teacher recommendation. Proficiency at taking and organizing notes (notebook), organizing lab reports and making oral presentations should be considered as well. This will prepare students for future offerings of Honors Chemistry and Honors Biology for their sophomore and junior years. Senior year will then be open for AP electives.
